Teeth whitening is a dental procedure. In Australia the concentration of hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide in a whitening product determines who may lawfully supply and apply it, and products above the lower concentrations are restricted to registered dental practitioners. Completing this course does not authorise or licence you to perform teeth whitening on clients. Requirements differ between states and territories and change over time. Confirm your position with the relevant authority in the state where you intend to work, and check that your insurer covers the treatment, before offering it.
