PRP treatments involve collecting a client's blood and re-applying it. This is both a blood handling and a skin penetration procedure. A current blood collection qualification is a mandatory prerequisite and evidence must be supplied before enrolment. Completing this course does not authorise or licence you to perform PRP treatments on clients. The rules governing who may collect blood and perform these treatments differ between states and territories and change over time. Confirm your position with the relevant health authority in the state where you intend to work before practising.
