Practical training in the safe operation of intense pulsed light and laser devices for hair reduction and skin treatments. Delivered against national units of competency covering both safety and treatment delivery.
To enrol in this course, you must meet the following requirements:
Theory is completed online before you attend. The practical component is face-to-face at our Bankstown campus in small groups with supervised practice. Delivered in NSW only.
This is nationally recognised training delivered by Urban Skin Academy, RTO 46587. Each unit is assessed as Competent or Not Yet Competent against the national unit requirements. On successful completion you receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment listing the units achieved. Note the prerequisite sequence. SHBBHRS005 is completed before SHBBHRS006 to SHBBHRS009, and SHBBSKT003 before SHBBSKT004 to SHBBSKT007.

If you already hold any of the units in this course, credit transfer applies and reduces your course length and fee. If you have relevant industry experience without formal qualifications, you can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning. Both are assessed before your enrolment is finalised.

It is the formal certificate issued when you complete one or more units of competency without completing a whole qualification. It is nationally recognised and the units can be credited toward a full qualification later.
Yes. A USI is required by law before we can issue a Statement of Attainment. You can create one free at usi.gov.au and we can help you do it at enrolment.
Yes. Units completed here can be credited toward the relevant qualification through credit transfer, reducing both the length and the cost of that qualification.
