Nationally Recognised Training
A full beauty therapy qualification covering facial treatments, body massage, hair removal, lash and brow services, nail services and make-up, together with the client consultation, retail and salon skills needed to work independently as a beauty therapist. Graduates work with substantial autonomy and are accountable for their own treatment decisions. Typical settings are beauty salons, day spas and skin clinics.
To enrol in this course, you must meet the following requirements:
Blended delivery. Theory is completed online at your own pace; all practical training and assessment is face-to-face at our Bankstown campus. Delivered in NSW only.
Every unit is assessed as Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC). Two reassessment attempts are included at no extra cost. You must be assessed Competent in every unit in your program to be issued the full qualification. If you exit early you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units you have completed. This qualification includes mandatory work placement hours attached to SHBBBOS008 Provide body massages and SHBBHRS010 Provide waxing services.
Photo identification, your USI, closed-in flat shoes and a notepad. Uniform and student kit requirements are confirmed at enrolment.

If you already hold units of competency from this or another qualification, credit transfer applies and reduces both your course length and your fee. If you have relevant industry experience but no formal qualification, you can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning and be assessed against the unit requirements. Both are assessed before your enrolment is finalised.

Yes. This qualification includes mandatory supervised work placement hours attached to the body massage and waxing units. We help you identify a suitable host salon and verify it before you begin.
Because this program includes the full Relaxation Massage elective group, your testamur is issued as Diploma of Beauty Therapy (Relaxation Massage). Contact us if you want to discuss a different specialist stream.
On being assessed Competent in all 29 units you receive a nationally recognised testamur and a record of results. If you exit early you receive a Statement of Attainment for the units you have completed.
Theory is completed online at your own pace. All practical training and assessment takes place at our Bankstown campus. Urban Skin Academy is approved to deliver this qualification in NSW only.

Yes. A USI is required by law before we can issue your qualification. You can create one free at usi.gov.au and we can help you do it at enrolment.
Yes. Credit transfer applies to units you already hold, and Recognition of Prior Learning is available if you have relevant industry experience. Both reduce your course length and fee and are assessed before enrolment.
